Shankar co-founded GPE with the clear vision to modularize process plants and harness India’s engineering talent. He has over 40 years of experience in the global process industry and is a mechanical engineer from IIEST (B.E.College) and MBA from IISWBM. He was JV partner and Indian Managing Director of Neuman & Esser (NEA), Germany and setup their Indian operations as well as a Global Engineering Centre in Pune. He started his career in Atlas Copco and rose up the ranks to divisional manager for gas & process division responsible for reciprocating, oil free screw and turbo compressor packages. He was trained on process calculation and simulations at the Atlas Copco (Linde AG) plant at Sürth, Germany.

Somdev has co-founded and successfully established GPE as a process driven, professionally managed startup focusing on modular skid packages for various sectors. He has extensive project engineering, execution and commissioning experience in India, US, Europe, CIS and MENA. He is a mechanical engineer from MIT, Pune and has completed his PGP from IIM Bangalore. He has worked for Ernst & Young as a management consultant specializing in operations of clients such as ONGC, IOCL, BPCL and Crompton Greaves. He has also worked in execution at Larsen & Toubro’s International Oil & Gas Projects division and was deputed to Qatar for a year. He was a trainee engineer at Eagle Burgmann’s plant in Wolfratshausen, Germany and has completed an exchange term at Ecole Supérieure de Commerce, Brest, France.

Alfons is holder of several patents including Nitrogen generation by PSA process, biogas and bio natural gas production and production of carbon molecular sieves. He served as the CEO of Carbotech Gas Systems GmbH for over two decades during which he established the company's presence in 6 continents. He holds a Dipl. Ing. Process Engineering from University GHS Essen, is a PhD / Dr. Ing. Process Technologies from University TH Bochum and has also been R&D engineer at Bergbau Forschung GmbH. His current company Carboneum Consult is a technical consultancy serving leading organisations in the areas renewable gases, Nitrogen, Hydrogen and CO2. He has been closely associated with GPE since its inception and continues to guide process design, engineering & execution of cokeoven gas cleaning and PSA plants. He also helps with sourcing products and services from Europe.

Priyanka is responsible for engineering and has been continuously focusing on process improvements and standardisation at GPE. She is also involved in information sharing, giving a voice to women in STEM through social media platforms like Linkedin. She is an electrical engineer from Fr. Agnels, Mumbai and an MMS from Welingkar, Mumbai. She has worked for 5 years at Mercedes-Benz where she gained extensive experience in after sales, customer relationship management and marketing. She was part of the event management team for Auto Expo, Delhi and Indiaday at Daimler AG, Sindelfingen. She has also worked for Godrej & Boyce, Mumbai in the marketing and new product development functions. She has successfully delivered process and detail engineering packages for gas dehydration, treating, separation and purification under leading engineering consultants such as EIL, PDIL, Toyo, Worley Parsons, L&T Chiyoda, IBI Chematur, Technip and Tecnimont. She has also handled detailed engineering for US and German customers in the renewable energy sector.

Vishal streamlines and oversees operations at GPE and is responsible for fabrication, job processing and assembly. He is a mechanical engineer from North Maharashtra University and has two decades of experience in ASME coded pressure vessels, heat exchangers, boilers, columns, skid packages. He has 13 years of experience with TUV Nord as a senior surveyor and has completed projects with leading organisations such as Reliance, L&T, IOCL and NTPC among others. He had been deputed by TUV Nord to Alfa laval, Thermax and Thyssenkrupp for long term project-based inspection and professional services. He has also worked as a welding engineer at L&T Heavy Engineering, Hazira. He is ASNT NDT Level – II certified for RT, PT, UT, MT and trained for API, IBR and NACE execution.

Dharmraj heads Project Execution at GPE. He is a Mechanical Engineer from the Govt. College of Engineering, Karad and a certified PMP from Project Management Institute (PMI), USA. He has over 35 years of experience in Operations, Project Management and Planning, EPIC Procurement, heavy Manufacturing as well as ODC Logistics. Dharmraj has extensive work experience at leading heavy engineering companies such as L&T, Praj, Walchandnagar and MEIL. He has also worked for Oil & Gas construction companies in Qatar and Saudi Arabia. He has played a key role in execution of classified defence sector projects as well as Oil & Gas Projects related to the supply of critical process equipment like pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers, reactors as well as modular skid packages. Dharmraj believes in continuous learning and adopting himself quickly to the new developments taking place in his domains of expertise that include Operational Excellence, Business Process Improvement, Project Management and Energy Transition.

Jagdish is responsible for all activities related to Lube Oil System as vertical head. He is Mechanical Engineer from Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra. He is member of Indian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (AMIME). He has also completed PG Diploma in Piping Engineering from VIT, Pune. He has 28+ years of experience of manufacturing and Engineering. He has served as Design head at Enpro Industries Pvt. Ltd for almost 20 years. He has good command over engineering design, 3D modeling and 2D fabrication drawings. He has handled Lube Oil System for all critical customers Like Aramco, Exon Mobil, Petrobrass, Petronas, Shell, KNPC, ONGC, Adnas, & many others OEM’s. He is well aware of Design codes and standards, Dimensional standards used in piping and skid manufacturing industry. He is aware of API 614-5th edition which is used to design a Lube oil system, TEMA-Edition 9 which is used to design Shell & Tube HE, API 661 which is used to design Air cooled HE. He is versatile knowledge of Engineering, Materials, Fabrication, Machining, tool room, Manufacturing Processes, NDTs.

Sanjeev is responsible for procurement at GPE. He is a Mechanical Engineer from Board of Technical Education, Karnataka. He has completed his MBA in operations from Pune University. He has 25+ years of experience in manufacturing industry specially in Supply Chain & Logistics. He has served as strategic sourcing head at Ador Welding limited for almost 12 years. He has good command over sourcing of exotic material like Inconel, Monel, Hastelloy, duplex, super duplex flanges, fittings, pipes & plates. And sourcing of bought out items like valves, instruments & electrical items from suppliers across the globe. He has good network of sub vendors for outsourcing. He was the founder director of Sadgurupro Solutions Pvt Ltd which offers pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, distillation columns, flares & material handling equipment. Sanjeev is also heading the after sales vertical of GPE which handles installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance at various domestic & international sites.

Rajendra has over 25 years of experience in the field of materials management and oversees stores, dispatch as well as logistics at GPE. His team manages the cargo flow in our supply chain where the smallest parts weigh a few grams and the largest ones are over 100 tons. Rajendra has good command over multimodal logistics including containerized as well as break bulk shipping and is adept at managing budgets. His team is also responsible for stores using our SAP B1 platform GPEpro which offers complete material traceability, class leading mulit-locational warehousing and effective management for stock items such as consumables. He is also responsible for dispatch including packing and loading which are critical to the success of our projects and involve meticulous planning.

Manager - Service & Support

Koushik helps customers resolve any issues which arise during plant operations. His team is involved right from the engineering stage wherein they provide inputs related to plant operability and attend HAZOP meetings. He oversees factory acceptance testing, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning and field trials. Koushik is a seasoned site manager with years of hands-on experience in installation, commissioning and O&M of various types of compressors and blowers, PSA and TSA units, caustic wash-towers, desulphurization plants, hot oil systems, electrical panels, instrumentation and automation. He was stationed for 12 years as the site In-charge of our COGD & H2 plant at JCAPCPL (JV of Tata Steel Ltd. & Nippon Steel Corporation, Japan). He is a B.Tech with an MBA in operations management and PGDM in industrial safety. He is ISO Internal Auditor and Lean Six Sigma (Yellow Belt) certified. His previous stints were at Akashganga Constructional Machines and MRJ Powernet.

Vilas leads the Finance & Accounts Department at GPE. He is an MBS in Finance with over 15 years of extensive experience in the manufacturing sector. Vilas works closely with our Internal and Statutory Auditors to ensure accurate financial reports and strict compliance of direct and indirect taxation. He manages accounting, corporate finance, MIS, budgeting and forecasting, banking, statutory compliance, insurance and payroll functions. He is also well-versed with international trade, freight, documentation and promotion schemes. Beyond his primary role, Vilas also takes care of our nascent HR function and is responsible for team building with shared values.

Dipak heads administration at GPE with over 11 years of experience and holds an MA in English. Prior to GPE, he has spent several years in the non profit sector with a leading NGO. His responsibilities include facilities management, security services, IT and cyber security, visitor coordination and team induction processes. Dipak is proficient in managing diverse events such as customer visits, meetings, conferences and workshops showcasing his ability to handle multilevel logistics, maintain excellent vendor relations and efficiently deploy company resources. A critical part of Dipak's role involves developing and maintaining optimal inventory and housekeeping protocols to ensure a pristine work environment across all our facilities. His proactive approach in creating a dynamic work atmosphere fosters growth opportunities and enhances team performance.
