Membrane-based BUPs use polymeric hollow fiber membranes that selectively allow CO₂, H₂O, and other impurities to pass through while retaining high-purity methane. The result is a dry, compressed biomethane stream suitable for compression, bottling, or pipeline injection. We use multi-stage membrane modules from Evonik and Ube, offering exceptional selectivity, stability, and throughput. The complete BUP is engineered, packaged, and integrated entirely in-house by GPE, ensuring complete control over quality, customization, and after-sales support. Pre-treatment of the feed gas is essential to the long term performance and reliability of these plants. We use process simulations from licensed software to ensure complete pre-treatment.

Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) is a highly selective gas separation technology used to upgrade raw biogas into high-purity biomethane (Bio-CNG). The 6-bed PSA design uses six adsorption columns operating in a staggered cyclic sequence to ensure continuous gas flow, greater recovery rates, and superior separation efficiency. Our PSA systems are equipped with high-efficiency European desiccants for deeper drying and superior adsorption, ensuring long service life and low regeneration loss.
