Responsibilities

• Study and understand the requirements as per Approved Drawing & Specification of the Project Orders.
• Ensure availability of required Testing Procedures and Welding Procedures as per Approved Drawing & Project Specification.
• Incoming inspection (Inward inspection), In-process inspection, Final inspection as per Approved Drawing & Project Specification.
• Preparation of stage wise inspection reports and final inspection reports based on approved project ITP.
• Responsibility to ensure all ITP stage inspection are completed and ensure required all relevant documents are prepared and kept in place.
• Inspection of outsourced fabrication work as per approved drawing at vendor’s place.
• Responsible for arranging and coordination with Authorized Inspector (AI), TPIA, Client for inspection as per approved ITP.
• Offering stage wise inspection to Authorized Inspector (AI), TPIA, Client as per approved ITP
• Arrangement of NDT (RT, LPT, MPT, etc.) as per requirement.
• Witnessing Liquid Penetrant Examination activities inhouse and documentation of test results.
• Interpretation of Radiography films & coordination with NDE Agency & Production Department for repair / reshoot of joints.
• Updating Radiography results in RT summary sheet.
• Co-ordination with team regarding compliance of QMS, Environmental Health & Safety and adherence of the same.
• Compilation of all documents and preparation of Manufacturer’s Data Record (MDR).

Preferred Skills

• 5+ years of working experience as a QC Engineer with good knowledge in manufacturing of pressure vessel, heat exchangers, piping, skid packages and structures.
• Experienced in Mfg. process of ASME U-Stamp coded vessels / heat exchangers.
• Experienced in NDT methods and minimum NDT Level-II in RT & PT.
• Awareness of Quality Management System as per ISO 9001-2015.
• Awareness of ASME Codes & Standards Specifications, TEMA, EN ISO, etc.
• Good understanding of Welding documents i.e., WPS-PQR-WPQ and able to prepare based on guidance from seniors.
• Detailed understanding of GA, Fabrication drawings and P&ID.
• Preparation of Inspection Test Plan (ITP) based on existing QAPs / Approved drawings.
• Preparation of all QC documents based on approved ITP, ASME Requirements & Project specifications.
• Inspection of all raw materials and fabrication activities at vendor works as well as GPEL plant.
• Final Documentation (Manufacturing Data Record (MDR)-Preparation, Compilation and Submission)
• Handled TPIA like HSB, BV, SGS, TUV, TATA Project, IRS, LR, etc.
• Good references with excellent work attendance and attitude.
• Ability to work with others in a team environment.
• Good communication skills – verbal & written.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), e-mails (Outlook)
